The “Slim Body” seeks to bring to the stage the theme of obesity and its aspects through a performativity process. Through a scenic monologue allied to the own musical compositions created especially for the show, the issues studied and addressed in the play will focus on obesity as a genetic pathology, eating disorder, and its aesthetic and social repercussions.

It is a project derived from the personal, professional and artistic life experience of the author actor as a dramaturgic inspiration, but also with a great focus on a wide field research, addressing stories and experiences of diverse people, bodies, genres, races and sexualities.

Through these multiple narratives, the project calls into question the subject of the body itself (as being and as movement) merging with the autobiographical bias of the author actor, who struggles with obesity for years, and searches through the analysis the process of self-knowledge.

The dramaturgy is, therefore, constructed putting the performance and the body as protagonists of this scenic conception, tracing a dramaturgic thought of body, the research of the performance actor and the other experiences and narratives. The awakening of the written word must be felt by the author not only in a psychic way, but truly vertiginous, engaging, visceral.
